Purpose: To learn the properties of folders and files, to navigate between folders, to use 'Find' to search for a folder or file, and to learn how to prompt LLMs such as ChatGPT.

  • About folders, files and the difference between them.
  • How to open a browser.

    Exercise 1


    1. Generate a leave letter using ChatGPT. Learn how to prompt LLMs such as ChatGPT.

    Exercise 2


    1. Save the leave letter in the given location (Location 1) and move that file to another location (Location 2).

    Location 1: Downloads (Folder) →leave letter.odt

    Location 2: Documents → 5th (Folder) → Sick leave.odt

    Exercise 3


    1. Find the folder named 'Kanini' on your computer, and find its size, type, location and created date.

    Teacher Instructions
    1. Teachers should ensure that the specified directories are available on their computers. If the F: drive is not available, another existing drive, for example the D: drive, can be used.
    2. If the specified folder is not available in that location, students should know how to create the folder.
    3. Teachers should also teach all the different ways of doing a search - Windows Search, Cortana (optional) and the search option in the taskbar.
    4. If you have any internet issues in downloading the leave letter you can use the given letter.
